Heat your milk in a small pot until warm (not boiling). Whisk in the maple syrup (1 or 2 tbs depending on how sweet you like it), coconut oil and quick small dash of nutmeg. Then add in the cacao powder and whisk continuously until heated through and no more cacao powder clumps exist - about 2-3 minutes.
Notes
You can sub in any milk. You can sub in honey for the maple syrup.I also sometimes add a dash of vanilla extract and pinch of salt.You can also top it with chocolate shavings or whip cream.
