All you need is oat flour, yogurt and baking powder and you have yourself a soft and delicious bread for breakfast, snacking or for a side with a meal.

If you don’t have oat flour, don’t worry! You can make your own using rolled oats/old fashioned oats in your food processor. Just pulse away until you reach a powder like consistency similar to flour. Make this Gluten Free by using Gluten Free Oats.

This easy oat bread is soft, delicious and made without yeast. All you need is yogurt, oat flour and baking powder and you have a delicious homemade bread.

  • Preheat oven to 350℉. Line an 8×4 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl whisk together the oat flour, baking powder and salt. Mix in the yogurt; at first with a spatula and then with your hands. Dough will be very thick and sticky. That's you would want. Transfer to your loaf pan and spread it out evenly. Optional, Top with a few rolled oats and press them in. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow bread to set in the pan for 10 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  1. Store leftovers in an airtight container on the counter or in your fridge for up to 4-5 days. 
  2. You can also use plain whole milk yogurt or Greek yogurt.
  3. If you don’t have oat flour, you can make it at home by adding rolled oats to a food processor or blender. Pulse until the oats become a super fine flour.
  4. Use non-dairy yogurt to make this VEGAN.
  5. Use gluten free rolled oats to make this GLUTEN FREE.
