Broccoli Feta Fritters
It’s all green to me with these broccoli recipes. I could eat these endlessly. This is one of my Original recipes I recreated and updated to share with my new friends on TikTok, etc. You can’t go wrong with this recipe. If you have some broccoli in your fridge, I urge you to create these! They’re great for breakfast, lunch, side dish, appetizer or snack time!
Ingredients:
Super basic ingredients in this one with gluten free substitutes too. For the all purpose flour you can sub in oat flour, almond flour or gluten free flour. It might need a tad bit more but mix it with the measurements below and you can always add in an extra tablespoon of flour if needed to bring the batter together.
The eggs are the main binder here and I’m not sure if the mixture would hold together with a substitute like flax eggs. If you don’t like feta, you can simply add in more mozzarella cheese. If you don’t like dill, sub in chives or basil. Serves perfect with some Tsatziki Sauce (although I enjoy them on their own).
The mixture might feel like it’s not coming together because of the broccoli chunks, but once you get it in the pan, it will converge and cook into a perfect fritter thanks to the cheese and eggs.

Broccoli Feta Fritters
Equipment
Ingredients
- 4 small crowns broccoli
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 5 tbs all purpose flour *
- 1/3 cup mozzarella shredded
- 3 oz feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbs dill, chopped
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp chili pepper flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
- Optional Dip: Lazy Tzatziki
Instructions
- Steam your broccoli crowns in about 1 inch of water for 7 minutes or until fork tender. Remove to paper towel and allow to cool slightly. Pat dry with towel. Next chop them into tiny pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine everything until incorporated. Form large balls.
- In a large skillet, heat 2-3 tbs olive oil until hot. Add the broccoli balls and flatten them out a little. Lower heat to medium and cook for 6 minutes. Flip them over and flatten them again with the back of your spatula. Cook another 6 minutes. Lower heat if they are getting too dark brown. You want them golden brown.
So good! I didn’t have feta or mozzarella on hand so I substituted shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and goat cheese. Yum!
Yikes I did not mean to give it a one star I meant to give it five stars I’m not a fan of broccoli, but other than that these are easy to make extremely healthy I used gluten free flour, and it is a way to get me to eat broccoli. I did eat about 6 of them!
Parece delicioso! Vou tentar fazer. Obrigada pela receita.
I love this recipe! I’ve made it several times and now, I actually crave this dish. Thank you for this tasty, healthy, and easy recipe. 😋
Hi Christine, so happy you liked the fritters! Thank you for the kind rating!
Hi from Denmark 🇩🇰 making them just now, can’t wait I just know they are delicious from the ingredients 🤤🤤 I know my children will also love love them and even my husband , 🤣🤣😅🙏 thanks for the recipe. Will write about the outcome 😁😁❤️
Delicious! Thank you! I didn’t have onion powder so I used regular chopped onions, which were great. I would think a lot of vegetables would work well in this recipe!
Delicious! We made tzatziki to go along with these and what a combination! I will definitely be making these again. My only suggestion would be to give an approximate weight of the broccoli you used.
Very delicious recipe! My husband and I have been enjoying these for dinner for the past few nights. We eat them over crusty Italian bread (toasted and crunchy), a bed of Greek yogurt, fritters, fresh slice of tomatoes and hot sauce on top. 10/10! Just one tip, wear gloves when cooking if you don’t want your hands to smell like garlic.
So glad to be able to make these for a little before dinner snack. They will be perfect for my guests. And healthy too as a bonus 😉
4 small crowns of broccoli is how much in grams please
These are truly delicious. I served them up with hot sauce, which may sound controversial but they were great! Will definitely be making these again!
Your recipes are amazing! I can’t wait to try these fritters. Thank you for sharing.
These are so simple to make and SO delicious!!
Hi Rosanne, I agree with you! Must have them again soon!
Can I use already riced broccoli?
Should work yes!
Super delicious. I couldn’t figure out the conversion of ounces to cups, so I added one cup of crumbled feta and they were great! Will make these again for sure!
I really enjoyed and appreciated a recipe like this because I like finger food & the ability to eat healthy on the run. Just a couple sidenotes. I had 1 lb of broccoli – I had NO idea what size 4 crowns might be. It translated into 8 patties the size of a muffin using the proportions for the rest of the recipe. I’m on a fixed budget and while I had feta, 3 oz. translates to $3.00. so I substituted parmesan cheese. I also had lots of dried dill which translated to 1 tb = 3 tbs of fresh dill. Chili flakes had little effect on the taste so unless you’re allergic, it was probably fine to leave them out if necessary. I also didn’t have the ingredients for the Tsatziki sauce so I substituted BBQ sauce. They kinda tasted like chicken wings … just sayin
I’m sure it would have been better if I had all the ingredients but they were tasty nonetheless.
