I hate to admit it but I have been known to keep a bag or two of frozen fries in the freezer for emergency purposes or lazy days. These crispy nuggets have changed all that. Once you try these morsels of heaven you can never go back to that frozen crap or that deep fried stuff either. Yes they are that exceptional.

It all comes down to the method with this recipe. The par boil breaks down the exterior of the potato which in turn mushes a bit during the boil, which in turn creates that nice outer crust in the air fryer.

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. While thats happening, clean your potatoes and slice them into medium sized chunks. Once the water is boiling, add 2 tsp salt and your potatoes to the pot. When the water comes back to boiling, set your timer for 10 minutes. When the time is up, drain your potatoes and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400° (or oven to 425°). Transfer your potatoes to a bowl and toss them with the cheese, oil and seasonings to coat. Spray your basket with olive oil and air fry for 10 minutes. Flip them over and air fry again for another 10 minutes or until crispy.
