Healthier Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies (Gluten Free)
This simple yet delicious dessert is perfect for those sweet tooth cravings. It truly comes together in under 5 minutes and you only need a few simple ingredients to make it happen.
Of course, the cream cheese is the best part of the brownie. Its creamy and sweet and elevates the dessert. The base is also awesome with only a few bananas for sweetness, so you may want to add a little maple syrup for added sweetness.
My basic tip for this recipe is to start with the cream cheese layer in your food processor and then mix the brownie layer. This is a bit counter-intuitive but the brownie layer is harder to clean out from the food processor than the cream cheese (and also darker in color).

Awesome, I’m gonna try it. Can cream cheese be substituted with something please?
Hi Sonya, So glad you like the recipe! I would do mascarpone instead of cream cheese
Hello. I tried your recipe last night and it was very good. I used coconut sugar, and I now know after trial and error from other recipes, that I will need to use MORE or add maple syrup or some other sweetener, as the cocoa being already bitter, made it a little too bitter. I dusted them with some powdered sugar to help. Other than this, they are very good!
Hi Cassie, I’m glad you came back to share your experience with the recipe!Thank you!

um. there’s no flour or baking soda in this recipe?
Hi chris, that is correct.
does it have to be granulated sweetener or can it honey?
HI Margaret, I used granulated sweetener but you can try it with honey or maple syrup – it should work!
how can you replace the peanut butter and almond flour for family with peanuts and most tree nut (almonds, walnuts, brazil nuts) allergies?
Hi Christina, My suggestion to you is to use either tahini or sunflower seed butter. I hope this helps! Thankyou!
