Broccoli Feta Fritters
It’s all green to me with these broccoli recipes. I could eat these endlessly. This is one of my Original recipes I recreated and updated to share with my new friends on TikTok, etc. You can’t go wrong with this recipe. If you have some broccoli in your fridge, I urge you to create these! They’re great for breakfast, lunch, side dish, appetizer or snack time!
Ingredients:
Super basic ingredients in this one with gluten free substitutes too. For the all purpose flour you can sub in oat flour, almond flour or gluten free flour. It might need a tad bit more but mix it with the measurements below and you can always add in an extra tablespoon of flour if needed to bring the batter together.
The eggs are the main binder here and I’m not sure if the mixture would hold together with a substitute like flax eggs. If you don’t like feta, you can simply add in more mozzarella cheese. If you don’t like dill, sub in chives or basil. Serves perfect with some Tsatziki Sauce (although I enjoy them on their own).
The mixture might feel like it’s not coming together because of the broccoli chunks, but once you get it in the pan, it will converge and cook into a perfect fritter thanks to the cheese and eggs.

Broccoli Feta Fritters
Equipment
Ingredients
- 4 small crowns broccoli
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 5 tbs all purpose flour *
- 1/3 cup mozzarella shredded
- 3 oz feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbs dill, chopped
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp chili pepper flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
- Optional Dip: Lazy Tzatziki
Instructions
- Steam your broccoli crowns in about 1 inch of water for 7 minutes or until fork tender. Remove to paper towel and allow to cool slightly. Pat dry with towel. Next chop them into tiny pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine everything until incorporated. Form large balls.
- In a large skillet, heat 2-3 tbs olive oil until hot. Add the broccoli balls and flatten them out a little. Lower heat to medium and cook for 6 minutes. Flip them over and flatten them again with the back of your spatula. Cook another 6 minutes. Lower heat if they are getting too dark brown. You want them golden brown.
So delicious! Loved the little zip to them as well. I baked mine and and added a bit of feta to the tzatziki. I plan on making more and freezing them – we thoroughly enjoyed them.
Hi Stephanie, that’s awesome! So glad they were enjoyed! And love adding feta to my tzatziki too!
Can I remove the flour if I’m following a low carb diet?
Is it 57 kcal per receipt? 🌸
Made these for the second time today, and love them! This time, however, I actually chopped the broccoli into small bits in my food processor. It seemed like this step helped the balls stay together a little bit better before frying and when putting them into patties.
Stella, You are truly helping me to love my life!

Oh my goodness!! I have made these 3 weeks in a row! Obsessed!! I would like to know what size a serving is, just to figure out calories…not that it really matters since I eat them all anyway, haha!

Do these freeze well?
Hi Deb. Yes they do.
Is there a tzatziki dip that you recommend store-bought?
I would recommend purchasing from a restaurant/diner or Greek store for the most authentic. I’ve never gotten store-bought.
Boar’s Head tzatziki is great!
Can I use frozen broccoli? How much?
Hi Sarah! Yes, just thaw it and use like 1 pound florets.
Delicious!
Hi Paula! Glad you liked the fritters and thank you for the rating!

EATING THIS NOW!!!!! DELICIOUS!! One tip: if you don’t have fresh dill, cut the dill weed spice in half. Dip in Dill Salad Dressing
Hi Christine! Love the alternative dill tip! Thank you for the feedback and I’m glad you loved them!
Honestly, super tasty and easy to make. Thanks for the share! 👏
Hi M…glad they worked for you! Thank you for the feedback!
Made these last night and probably one of the best tasting ones I’ve attempted so far (I know because my 2 year old actually ate it, and my husband was raving about it). I also made the tzatziki sauce to go along with it and it’s a solid combo. Both delicious!
Hi Annie, That’s fantastic! Glad your hubs and the baby enjoyed! Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback!
