Stella’s favorite things – December
It’s that time of year again, when the air is crisp and the smell of cinnamon fills the kitchen. I love spending time with my family and friends during the holidays, and I always enjoy cooking and baking for them. This year, I’m cooking some of my favorite Greek family recipes. From warm and comforting feta pie to sweet and delicious gingerbread cookie bars, there’s something magical about this time of year!
I hope this holiday season is a wonderful one for you and your families! If you’re looking for additional inspiration, enjoy this list of my favorite things for the month of December!
MY FAVORITE DECEMBER FINDS
MAKE UP MUST HAVE’S
I absolutely love playing around with different products and creating different looks, but I always make sure I use high quality products on my skin. This Face Flex Concealer and Complexion Enhancer is great for covering up dark circles and actually lasts all day!
When it comes to lipsticks, you can never have too many. This Peptide Lip Tint from Rhode not only gives you a beautiful color, but also plumps and hydrates your lips which is essential for this time of year.
Another product I love is Chantecaille’s Lip Veil which supports Space for Giants and their work to preserve the migration path of elephants in Africa and keep them thriving for future generations. Their Lip Chic lipstick in Wisteria is another one of my go-to’s.
If you’re looking for the perfect gift for the lipstick lover (or yourself!), don’t miss out on Fara Homidi’s Essential Holiday Lip Set. It comes in three different shades and has a wide range of benefits – from protection from environmental pollutants to addressing fine lines and signs of aging.
Don’t forget to give your cheeks and eyelids a little bit of color too with Rhode’s Pocket Blush in natural flush and the Eye Tint Longwear Liquid Eye Shadow in beige.
HAIRCARE
Winter can cause havoc on my hair, so I always turn to products from Sephora I know I can trust. The Crown Affair Refillable Dry Shampoo is my go-to on days when I skip a wash, and this Rosemary Shampoo is a lifesaver for when I need to strengthen dry winter hair.
When I travel, I always pack The Texturizing Air Dry Hair Mousse in by bag. I’m able to let my hair air dry and embrace my Greek girl curls.
LUXURY FASHION FINDS
Winter fashion is anything but boring, even when you live on the east coast and have to deal with frigid temperatures and feet of snow. These Christian Louboutin boots are where fashion and function align and are a staple in my closet.
If you’re looking to keep warm and make a statement, this Bouclé Alpaca Moto Jacket with Signature Double Collar in cobalt blue is a stunning piece to add to your closet. This holiday, I have my eye on the Oversized Alpaca Bouclé Coat from Saks and the Jacquard Wool and Alpaca Sweater from Max Mara. Alpaca wool is stronger, softer, more eco-friendly than merino wool and worth the investment.
If you love a little bit of Western flair in your closet, check out the Leather Gaucho Belt from Max Mara. Style over a sweater or jacket for an elevated yet approachable look.
The LuxeChic Quilted Shawl-Collar Blanket Robe is a gorgeous find for staying warm and looking great.
