Crispy Cheddar Apple Chips (3 Ingredients)
Cheese and apples are a match made in heaven in this easy to make snack recipe.
All you need is a few ingredients to make this delicious apple chips snack. If you know my blog, I have created this recipe several times in different vegetable versions. But never in fruit form. I knew cheddar and apples is a great pairing so I had to try this chip as well. And I’m so glad I did!
I went with a shredded parmesan and cheddar combination here because the parmesan is what really creates the chip crust in this recipe. The cheddar gives it a delicious flavor but if used in its entirety here, will not create that crispy chip.

Crispy Cheddar Apple Chips
Equipment
Ingredients
- 5 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
- 6 oz parmesan cheese, shredded
- 2 large apples, fuji or honeycrisp
- 1 tbs coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400℉. Line a 12×17" metal sheet pan with parchment paper. Sprinkle on both cheeses to the pan to form an even layer, covering the bottom of the pan.
- Remove the core/seeds from your apples and cut them into medium thin slices (1/4 -1/2 inch thick). Place them on the cheese so that they are touching (they will shrink when baked).
- In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle this on top of the apple slices. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the edges turn brown and the middle turn golden brown. Allow to cool for a few minutes and then tear apart and enjoy!

love the recipe but what temp?
How long are they good for? And how would you store them? Can I throw them in a zip lock bag and eat a day or 2 later?
Thanks!
Hi Stella,
these look awesome but when I tried to make them they came out soggy, not crispy.
Followed the directions but used regular sugar to mix with the cinnamon because that’s all I had. Any suggestions?
can these be made the day before serving. I am going to a luncheon tomorrow and want to make them tonight. will the still be good?
Hi Sandy, they can be made ahead yes
