Greek Tomato and Feta Cauliflower (Kounoupidi)
The delicious authentic Greek flavors of this dish will have you coming back for more.
This is one of the simplest of dishes to make. The only real work is slicing up your cauliflower and onion. Next your gonna just saute them in a pot with some garlic, canned tomatoes, honey and spices. Once that par-bake is complete, you can transfer everything to your baking dish, top with feta and a little grated parmesan and bake until ready.

This looks so delicious! I do not hae cinnamon stick on hand – if i added ground cinnamon instead how much would you suggest? Also in place of honey could I use sugar?
So delicious! I made homemade baguettes to go with it and it was wonderful. One of the best things I’ve eaten lately.
Hi Melissa, homemade baguettes sound incredible! Glad you liked the Greek cauliflower too!
This was fantstic. I enjoyed the lefotvers for days. I did modify because I didn’t have everything on hand- used fresh cherry tomoatoes from the garden, a dash of cinnamon because I didn’t have sticks and cut the honey down to 1/2 TBS and used Romano cheese. I hate when people make changes and then rate it, but seriously it was too good not to review. I will make as written next time cause it will be just as good.
HI Dyan, I appreciate you sharing your feedback and experience with the recipe – its super helpful for all the website visitors!
I haven’t even eaten the finished dish yet but I know it’s going to be great. The addition of cinnamon is so good, I used the tiniest piece of a cinnamon stick and it just adds a little extra something without tasting like cinnamon. I also added red pepper flakes for some spice, and threw some chopped asparagus in too. I’ll top with fresh basil when it’s done and we’re having it with homemade baguettes! YUMMY
Hi Melissa, your version sounds awesome and delicious! Thanks for sharing!
Delicious combo, left out the cinnamon and honey though
Hi Brenda, glad it was enjoyed with your adjustments!! Thank you!
We made this for a side dish the other night, and my husband and I nearly ate the entire dish! Fantastic, and very easy to make!
Hi Denise, Glad you and the hubby liked it! Thanks so much for the kind rating!
Amazing. Was out of oregano so I subbed herb de province and it was beautiful. The florals with the sweetness of the honey and hint of cinnamon. Definitely making again but want to try with chickpeas next
This recipe is a keeper! Made it last night and it has entered our rotation of side dishes. I kept the ingredients as the same, with the only addition being a small amount (1/2 ts) dried basil along with dried oregano.
Absolutely delicious. I’ve made twice already.
Delicious … a wonderful blend of flavours . Efharisto 🙏🏻
This dish is amazing, so easy to make and absolutely delicious!!!! We are vegetarian so made this with quinoa as a meal. Oh and I added lots of Parmesan because I loooooove parmesan.

I’m Greek and I have tried different spins on this recipe but always include tomatoes! 😉
Absolutely delicious and very tasty! Easy to prepare and the cauliflower is tender, but not too soft. It was a hit with my Greek partner too. Thank you!
