2 Ingredient Yogurt Bread
This was clearly a breeze to throw together in a few minutes time. The result is a delicious bread you will have trouble controlling yourself around. The texture is soft and fluffy and the taste is slightly sweet but kind of salty.
I used the brands pictured above. They are also linked in the recipe box below. I have also included the instructions for Homemade Self Rising Flour in the recipe box below. The dough should be sticky and thick. Make sure you incorporate all of the flour into the dough. Make sure you use regular vanilla yogurt – Greek yogurt does not work in this recipe!
Really a great combination I can’t wait to try with other add ins like chocolate chips or blueberries or cheese and olives. I topped mine with tahini and honey and was in heaven.

2 Ingredient Yogurt Bread
Equipment
Ingredients
- 3 cups self rising flour
- 1¾ cups low fat vanilla yogurt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375℉. Line an 8×4 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Sift your flour into a large bowl. Add to it the yogurt and mix using a silicone spatula until the flour is completely incorporated. Transfer the batter to your pan and spread out evenly with the spatula so that the top is mostly even. Bake for 35-40 minutes. I had to loosely cover mine halfway through the baking because the top was getting too tan. Remove your pan from the oven and allow 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to fully cool.
- If you don't have Self Rising Flour here is the Homemade version:3 cups all purpose flour + 4½ tsp baking powder + 3/4 tsp salt
- Make sure you use regular vanilla yogurt – Greek yogurt does not work in this recipe.
I am a novice baker, just want to start baking, I have heard good thing about White Lilly Self Rising flour, will use all the time, I am going to try and make the two ingredient bread with plain vanilla yogurt 3 cups sifted self rising flour with 1 and 1/4 cup of plain vanilla yogurt, this shouldnt be too hard. I will keep you posted, I never baked before, only bought the canned biscuits, I will try them next.
Hi Marie, I hope the recipe worked out for you!
We shall see, in the oven now. I used greek yogurt and I made the bread flour. Also will try with gluten free flour.
Hi Patricia, hope it worked out for you! The recipe calls for regular vanilla yogurt …
I had to add some milk as my dough was so dry. I’m guessing the yogurt was not runny enough. The bread is okay. Taste is a bit weird. Combo between the vanilla flavour and taste of flour. Not sure I’ll make it again.
Hi Irene, sorry the recipe didnt work out for you!
simple! I added a sprinkle of Cinnamon and a tablespoon of honey
.YUM
HI Darra, love it! Glad you liked the recipe
The picture makes the texture look more like a cake than bread. What is the bread texture compared to?
HI Debra, its amazing soft texture.. definitely bread like
Love it! What are the kcal for the hole bread?
This bread is so delicious! I followed the directions without any modifications and it baked perfectly.
Thank you for this healthy bread option. I do not like to cook or bake. However your recipes are healthy and easy. 😊
Hi Theresa, that’s awesome so glad it was a winner for you! And yes, I love love easy recipes too!
I’ve made a dozen or more of your recipes and ALL so far amazing, for some reason this one didn’t work well for me. I used vanilla yogurt not Greek, and sifted the self rise flour. It came out quite dense. Maybe it was over or under mixed. It was tasty but I wouldn’t make it again 🙁
Well. I should have read the fine print! I’m laughing at myself because I used Greek yogurt! I’ll try again tomorrow after I go buy regular vanilla yogurt!
HI Annie, hope you got the regular yogurt and liked the bread!! <3
Made this bread with homemade self rising flour and vanilla Greek yogurt. It needed more moisture so I squeezed the juice of one orange to the mixture.
Bread turned out great.
Simply delicious!! I followed the instructions for the sel-rising flour. Thanks because I only had all purpose handy. I used low-fat vanilla yogurt. I also added raisins for an extra kick. I used an 8×8 Pyrex dish because I sometimes have issues with loaf pans where my goods are not baked in the middle. My square loaf came out perfect! Thanks for a great and simple recipe!
HI Anne, sounds awesome – thanks for sharing your feedback with the different size pan -super useful!
I followed your recipe to a T and it came out AMAZING!! 😍😋
I didn’t have self rising flour so I took your advice and added the baking powder and salt. Perfection!
I love your recipes they’re a great addition to my hungry hub & kids tumtums They all love this bread♥️
I love it! so moist, I just want to ask you if I can make it with whole wheat flour
Hi Margarita, glad you liked the recipe! I haven’t tried it with whole wheat flour – it could work….
my batter is not smooth…it’s crumbly…I even added a bit more yogurt…what’s the deal? do different yogurt brands impact the texture??
Hi Marcia, did you use regular yogurt or greek yogurt?
EXCELLENT WORK
Glad you liked it!
