Healthy Banana Oatmeal Bread (5 Ingredients)
I’m always on the lookout for quick simple snacks that require very few ingredients that are all whole and you probably already have in your kitchen. This definitely hits those spots.
I’m going to greatly stress to you that this is not a traditional banana bread recipe. As you can tell from the ingredient list, it contains a very minimal amount of sweetener. If you would like a traditional banana bread recipe, please check out my delicious Super Moist Banana Bread. You will not be disappointed.
What you can do, is toss in sugar free chocolate chips, nuts, raisins or seeds to add some flavor. To finish this snack off, I like to serve it with some almond or peanut butter spread on top. Again, this is a protein and nutrient dense snack. And comes together so quickly in your blender or food processor. You can also use oat flour and mix the ingredients in a bowl.

- 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 cup chocolate chips, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, 1/2 cup chopped dates or raisins

Six ingredients you lying snake! But yummy!
I added 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 cup of diced apple to the batter and chopped walnuts on top. We liked it very much.
Hi Nancy! Yay, i’m glad you loved it!
I just made it today. it tasted really good (I like breads a bit sweeter so I added a little bit of chocolate inside in the batter and that elevated the taste) but one problem I had was that the top did not look like urs at all it wasn’t crumbly or airy just looked a bit weird. I’m not really able to explain it that well but I hope u get what I mean. could u pls tell me why that may have happened (for context I used 3 ripe bananas 2 were pretty ripe but one wasn’t too ripe. the rest of the recipe was the same I added a bit of cinnamon and vanilla, for the oats I used quackery instant oats and I added just a bit of chopped packaged chocolate as I didn’t have any choco chips, walnuts on top)
Sometimes I substitute 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce for the banana, plus one cup chopped apple, and 2 teaspoons ground cinnnamon.
Delicious!
Just made it except I used bananas I froze weeks ago and let them defrost in the fridge a couple of hours. I used OAT flour from Organic rolled oats I made last week in the Vitamix, so it was easy to blend with my very powerful hand mixer and I used a 1/2 teaspoon baking powder and I folded in dried berries. Also used Vanilla Extract. Came out fantastic.
Can you make this bread and your other bread recipes in a bread machine
This is so delicious. I am making it again today. Adding chopped almonds. Thank you.
