Flourless Apple Bread
We fell in love with this simple apple bread recipe. I try to avoid all purpose flour when I can but sometimes the texture of the recipe is affected so it is needed. With this bread, its not even necessary. This bread was so easy to throw together in one bowl; less than 5 minutes to mix and bake.
I used all natural cream almond butter but you can use any nut or seed butter here, like all natural peanut butter, cashew butter or sunflower seed butter. Just make sure the only ingredient in the nut butter is the nut (and salt if you prefer).

Flourless Apple Bread
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup almond butter, creamy all natural (or peanut butter)
- 2/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup diced apple, peeled + cored
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350℉ and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- To a large bowl, add the eggs, almond butter, applesauce, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and salt. Mix to combine until smooth. Add in the diced apple pieces and fold in. Transfer to your pan and bake …. If you're using a 9×5 inch loaf pan you will bake for 40-50 minutes; if using a 8×4" loaf pan will take closer to 45- 55 minutes. Allow to cool before slicing – 10 minutes in the pan and then another 10 on a cooling rack.
I was really surprised that this somehow magically turned into a sweet bread. It smelled amazing in the oven. However, for me and my husband, we didn’t like the flavor at all. It was missing something. It wasn’t very sweet, so I’m thinking about trying it again with more sweetener.
HI Tara, i’m so sorry the recipe didn’t work out for you!
Amazing recipe. I also used Swerve brown sugar and tossed the diced apples in cinnamon before adding to the mixture .Delicious !!!
