Viral La Scala Chopped Salad
This is a viral recipe I found on TikTok that looked absolutely delicious and simple to make. My two weaknesses in life. The videos I found online referenced the Kardashians and therefore I mentioned them in my video too. I’m definitely happy I tried this dish and would recommend it to anyone.

If you like this salad, you will love my Italian Chopped Salad or my 1905 Columbia’s Salad. Both of these dishes eliminate cooking and all you have to do is whisk and chop to prepare.

One of the my favorite parts of this salad is that you marinate the chickpeas in the dressing and then use them to create a salad mold mountain of sorts. Looks beautiful for presentation and its something different to try!

- 8 oz marinated artichoke hearts, halved

Loved this simple, delicious recipe!!!
Hi Amanda! Thanks for trying the salad out! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent! It will be my go to salad.
Hi Joy! Glad you enjoyed it! It’s my go-to now as well!
Love Your recipes you are good.
Love the salad ingredients. Dressing not very good
HI Debra, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the dressing!
Yummy Salad 🥗❤️😋
Hi Carol! I agree, it’s addictive!!
Hi Amanda! Super yummy but I think the olive oil may be a bit too much on the dressing. Might want to cut it with some water or reduce the oil a bit. Otherwise so fab!!
how many calories is this salad?
Hi DeAnna, I will update that now.. thanks for commenting!
Are the calories per serving or for the whole recipe?
I loved this salad! So did hubby and my son!
A delicious variation for a dinner salad! Yummmm! Will definitely make it again!
Hi Christine! I feel the same way and I’m really glad the whole family liked it!!!
Hi! How long do you marinate the chickpeas?
Hi Cynthia, just for 20-30 minutes
Hi just wondering if the calories are per serving or for the entire four servings the salad makes
I made this mouth watering salad today for lunch and gobbled it up so quickly and with so much gusto that I was almost embarrassed! I didn’t layer the chickpeas in a small bowl, but instead just mixed them in with the rest of the salad, which made it a little bit easier. I also added a little balsamic vinegar on top of the individual serving. This one, as with all of Stella’s recipes, is definitely a keeper!
Hi! Just wondering what to do with the other 3/4 of the chickpeas after putting 1/4 at the bottom of the bowl? Thanks!
I am assuming the nutritional info is for the entire salad, and not per serving?
Are the calories per serving or for 4?
The calories says 811. Is that per serving or for the whole recipe? Seems like a lot.
This looks delish. Definitely tonight! What rice, potato or side dish would you recommend to pair this with?
HI Heather, I would pair with bread or mashed potatoes.
Is this really 811 calories per serving?
HI Amy, if you divide this into 4 servings – yes it is that many calories.
So the whole thing is 811 calories and then divide by 4, so it’s like 211 calories per serving?
So it’s 811 calories per serving after you devide into four servings? If you are the whole thing it would be 3244 calories?
Hi, did you use the sun dried tomatoes that are in oil?
Yes, the ones in a glass jar in oil!
This sounds deliciousio! What type of mozzarella did you use?
Hi Gina, thank you! Just regular shredded mozzarella here.
I made the salad as a dinner salad / main course and we loved it. I am going to try each of your salad recipes this week. My fridge is stocked with ingredients.
Hi Claire, glad you enjoyed the salad, we eat it as a main dish too!
I’m trying to make this salad, and I thought I had artichokes in the cupboard but I don’t is there a substitute that I can use? I do have frozen peas?
Added red onions and lemon juice with garlic to the dressing. I would use less dressing next time and maybe the oil from the sun dried tomatoes instead. Very easy – will make again!
Did you use marinated sundried tomatoes or dry?
this salad is now my all-time favorite. Thank you fir posting the recipe!!!
Took no more than 20 mins and it was confirm food in a salad bowl! Delicious and will make again! Thank you.
Hi, can you replace the red wine vinegar with anything?
Good heart salad (3.5) and killer dressing (5).
make it all the time
delish
What kind of salami did you use and how many people does this feed. I’m doing this as my main entree
Hi Ellen I typically use Genoa Salami – my fave! 4 People as a main dish!
I see artichoke hearts in the photos, but not in the recipe. Are they a part of the La Scala salad? Thanks
811 calories?? Is that accurate ?? You assume you are eating well, low calories when you eat a salad. Ugg
I prep my lunches for the week every Sunday, and this has quickly become one of my favorites. In fact, I’m making it for the fourth time as we speak. SO GOOD!
Hi Jessica, glad you liked the salad so much – we loved it too! thank you for trying it!
THAT WAS MY FAVORITE SALADE AT LA SCALA FAMOUS RESTAURANT IN BEVERLY HILLS CALIF
By far, one of my favorite salads now!
Hi Ashley, so glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the rating!
I made this and my artichoke and chickpea hating partner loved it too. I added a little garlic to the dressing, used maple instead of honey, and threw in some white onion and peperoncini. Super tasty!
Hi Sara, Sounds delicious with your add ins – thanks for sharing with everyone!
Really delicious- I added some onion & garlic powder to the dressing & some Kalamata olives to the salad. It was a big hit!!!
Hi Anne, its definitely an awesome combination! Thanks for the kind rating!
This lives up to the hype! Not a fan of the Kardashian’s, but this salad is POPPIN’! I can see why they like it so much – the flavors mix together so divinely! Definitely adding this to the rotation of faves ❤️
Hi Lizzy, glad you tried it and liked it! Thanks for the review and feedback!
